Released by PM Press in collaboration with Kersplebedeb in 2014, Turning Money into Rebellion: The Unlikely Story of Denmark’s Revolutionary Bank Robbers recalls the exploits of the so-called Blekingegade Gang, a group of Marxist revolutionaries who, during the 1970s and ‘80s, robbed cash-in-transit trucks, warehouses, and post offices around Copenhagen in order to provide national liberation movements in the Third World with much-needed material support. Now one of the group’s former members, Torkil Lauesen, has written a book titled Det globale perspektiv, “The Global Perspective”, released by the Danish press Nemo in May 2016.
Whether or not China is now a capitalist-imperialist country is an issue on which there is some considerable disagreement, even within the revolutionary left. This book brings together theoretical, definitional and logical considerations, as well as the extensive empirical evidence which is now available, to demonstrate that China has indeed definitely become a capitalist-imperialist country. Indeed, the issue is raised of whether the current world imperialist system is in fact in the early stages of bifurcating into two competing imperialist blocs, one led by the United States and the other led by China.
In the month since the publication of Bromma’s The Worker Elite: Notes on the “Labour Artistocracy”, the book has been met with a lot of interest, including several reviews which raise a number of questions related to the text that folks may be interested in. So here’s a roundup of what i am aware of so far:
What follows is the preface to the upcoming book edited by Gabriel Kuhn, Turning Money into Rebellion: The Unlikely Story of Denmark’s Revolutionary Bank Robbers, to be published by Kersplebedeb and PM Press later this summer. The book tells the story of the “Blekingegade Group” which had emerged from a communist organization whose analysis of the metropolitan labor aristocracy led them to develop an illegal Third Worldist practice. While members lived modest lives, over a period of almost two decades they sent millions of dollars acquired in spectacular heists to Third World liberation movements such as the PFLP and ...........READ MORE
Convicted of the 1983 U.S. Capitol Bombing, and “conspiring to influence, change, and protest policies and practices of the United States government through violent and illegal means”, Laura Whitehorn, an out lesbian and one of six defendants in the Resistance Conspiracy Case, spent 14 years in prison. “OUT” is the story of her life and times: five tumultuous decades of struggle for freedom and justice.

The political/military hurricane swirling around Iraq, coupled with the 9/11 attacks and the war in Afghanistan, confirms that old left-wing paradigms of capitalist rule and colonialism have been smashed beyond repair. As we brace for what looks to be a challenging and violent future, it’s crucial that we do our best to perceive the outlines of capitalism’s new form as well as ...........READ MORE
In many neighbourhoods and cities and towns across Quebec, there is a new phenomenon of people going into the streets every night and banging pots and pans together to signal their opposition to the government’s new repressive legislation, Law 78. This is in the context of an upsurge of mass struggle and rapidly escalating tactics within a student strike that has been going on here for months. It is an unprecedented situation, and the struggle here seems to be transforming itself at what seems like breakneck speed.
Around 3am on July 2nd, a bomb exploded just outside a Canadian Army Recruitment Center in Trois Rivieres, a small city roughly half-way between Montreal and Quebec City. The building was empty at the time, and nobody was hurt. While one man was arrested at the scene of the attack, police claim that he was not involved but is simply being charged with obstruction (wtf?).
The bomb attack was claimed by Résistance internationaliste (“Internationalist Resistance”). Several years ago, other low-level attacks in the province of Quebec were also claimed by this group, operating under the name “Initiative de résistance ...........READ MORE

1: CONSPIRACY THEORIES CAN BE THEMSELVES THE QUESTION
Ever since World Trade came crashing down, conspiracy theories have been like the favorite beverage of men’s protest politics. Wilder the better. Major problems exist with being obsessed about these possible conspiracies, however. We see grainy photos “proving” that the Pentagon was never hit at all (and guesses that the United Airlines passengers were probably flown to a remote desert base in Area 51 to be executed secretly by the c.i.a.). ...........READ MORE
i like J’s rant. i think we need this kind of reality check. The world situation is changing with such surprising twists. But yet & again, it still is only from men’s viewpoint. And no matter how radical, that can only dead end somewhere. ...........READ MORE
