Join us for the first Alternative Media Fair of 2018-19!

The Alternative Media Fair is a project undertaken by the Concordia Co-op Bookstore in collaboration with members of the community, to provide a chance to meet with publishers, writers, zinesters, activists, makers, and others who are underrepresented in mainstream and popular culture, and to have access to the products they create and the ideas and visions they are putting forth.

The Alternative Media Fair will be occurring almost every month throughout the school year — participants at the September 20th Alternative Media Fair will include Janina Anderson, Claudia Janampa Huamán, Norman Nawrocki, Tanita Sawchuk, as well as the Concordia Co-op Bookstore, Kersplebedeb Publishing, PM Press, Entanglement, Black Rose Books, Metonymy Press, the Sidetracks Screenprinting Collective and more!

The Alternative Media Fair is free of charge and everyone is welcome. It is organized by the Concordia Co-op Bookstore with support from the Concordia Student Union.

Please note that the EV Building is wheelchair accessible via either Guy or St-Catherine Street. There are wheelchair accessible bathrooms on the same floor as the Media Fair will be occurring.

Nous vous invitons au premier Salon des médias alternatifs 2018-19, ce jeudi, dans l’édifice EV de l’Université Concordia!

Le Salon des médias alternatifs est un projet entrepris par la Librairie coopérative de solidarité de l’Université Concordia (LCSUS) en collaboration avec les membres de la communauté élargie. Le but du projet est d’offrir aux membres de la communauté de l’Université Concordia et du grand public l’occasion de rencontrer des éditeurs, auteurs/trices, créateurs/trices de zines, activistes et artistes qui sont sous-représenté.e.s dans le courant dominant ou la culture populaire, et de donner à la communauté l’accès à leurs produits.

Le Salon des médias alternatifs tiendra des événements presque tous les mois de la prochaine année. Parmi les participant-e-s au Salon du 20 septembre, il y aura Janina Anderson, Claudia Janampa Huamán, Norman Nawrocki, Tanita Sawchuk ainsi que la Librairie coopérative de solidarité de l’Université Concordia, Kersplebedeb Publishing, PM Press, Entanglement, Black Rose Books, Metonymy Press, le Sidetracks Screenprinting Collective et plusieurs autres!

Le Salon des médias alternatifs est un événement ouvert à tou.te.s, gratuit, organisé par la Librairie coopérative de solidarité de l’Université Concordia (LCSUS) avec le soutien du Syndicat des étudiants et étudiantes de l’Université Concordia.

Veuillez noter que l’édifice EV est accessible en fauteuil roulant par les rues Guy et Sainte-Catherine. Il y a des toilettes accessibles à l’étage où le salon aura lieu.
