California Prisoner Addresses

As the largest hunger strike in North American history nears its first week, supporters in California are preparing today to rally outside of Corcoran State Prison.

For those of us further afield, this is the time for solidarity actions – vigils, pickets, rallies, civil disobedience, disturbances … if you can do it, do it!

One thing several people have indicated is their desire to write to prisoners to let them know they are supported in this struggle. Beyond the Short Corridor collective, whose addresses have circulated for some time now, it is difficult to know for a certainty who is or is not participating, but the following list is of California prisoners who have written for the progressive San Francisco Bay View newspaper over the past few years. All of these prisoners would certainly appreciate mail, and while their being listed here should in no way be taken as an indication of whether or not they are participating in any protest reaching out to them is one way to break through the isolation that prisons are intended to maintain!
