Invitation au Rassemblement anarchiste! [English below]

Date: dimanche le 12 septembre 2021

Heures: midi à 17h

Lieu: Parc La Fontaine (autour du Centre Culturel Calixa-Lavallée)

Êtes-vous nostalgique des salons du livre, et des conversations et de l’inspiration qui en découle? La pandémie vous a-t-elle fait sentir déconnecté.e des anarchistes et/ou de l’anarchisme? Ce rassemblement a comme simple objectif de nous encourager à réaffirmer nos connections. À cette fin, nous invitons les distros à amener une couverture ou une table et des chaises, pour offrir leurs livres, leurs zines ou leur art (pas besoin d’appliquer; vous n’avez qu’à vous présenter!). Nous animerons 2-3 conversations et il y aura du temps réservé pour les discussions auto-organisées sur le moment. Bouffe contre le fascisme sera là avec de quoi se mettre sous la dent. Nous voulons aussi désigner un endroit pour faire un petit autel de deuil DIY (amenez quelque-chose à y ajouter).

Plus de détails viendront avant le 12 septembre! Pour l’instant, ceci est notre invitation à venir socialiser avec d’autres anarchistes, chose qui nous a manqué depuis un moment, incluant au-delà de nos cercles habituels.

Sur une note de care collectif, nous demandons à tout le monde d’amener un masque (nous en aurons aussi) et de le porter si vous êtes très près d’une autre personne à moins d’avoir son consentement d’être sans-masque. Nous encourageons tout le monde à maintenir une bonne distanciation physique et à socialiser en petits groupes.

Les politiques du Salon du livre anarchiste de Montréal s’appliquent à cet événement, donc si on vous a demandé de ne pas venir au salon du livre dans le passé, merci de ne pas vous présenter cet événement du 12 septembre. Invitation to the Anarchist Gathering!

Date: Sunday, September 12, 2021

Time: noon to 5 pm

Location: Parc La Fontaine (outside/around Cultural Center Calixa-Lavallée)

Do you find yourself nostalgic for bookfairs, and the conversations and often inspiration that happen at them? Has the pandemic made you feel cut off from anarchists and/or anarchism? This gathering has the simple aim of encouraging us to refresh our connections to each other. To that end, we’re inviting distros to bring a blanket or table and chairs, and offer books, zines, or artwork (there’s no need to apply; just show up); we’ll be holding 2-3 facilitated conversations, and will have a time slot for self-organized discussions that day too; Food Against Fascism will be on hand with delicious eats; and we’re hoping to set aside a spot for a DIY grief altar (bring something to add). More details to come closer to September 12! Mostly, though, this is our invitation to come socialize with other anarchists, in the best of do-it-ourselves ways, including beyond our usual friendship circles.

On a collective care note, we ask that everyone bring a mask (we’ll have some on hand too) and wear it when in close proximity to others at any point, unless they consent to going maskless. We also ask that everyone maintain good physical distancing and table/socialize in relatively small groups.
