What sort of life do these women lead, what is their political position, and how has it evolved over the past 25 years? Using original and archival footage, and unparalleled access to sites and persons in Libya, this two-year effort challenges Western stereotypes of the Arab female. Rania AjamiRania Ajami was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Lebanese parents of different faiths. She graduated from Princeton University in 2001 and worked in the theatre as assistant director to Richard Foreman. Her short films Intangent (2002), Graceland (2003) and Katalog (2004) all deal with modern identity and alternative realities. September 03, 2004 ? 16:20:00 ? CINÉMA PARISIEN 3 ? P3.03.5 ?
